December Board Update

November has come and gone—a sure sign that it was a busy month for your Board of Directors! Though many things were discussed and worked on, let’s cut to the chase: the site for the new store! As many of you have seen, the church that once occupied the corners of 7th and Main is being torn down as of this writing and there continues to be discussions concerning site details. As a board, we recently learned that a newly-approved City Code change took effect in November. This code change specifically addresses parking in the downtown area and will have an impact on our project. This impact is yet to be fully determined and we are actively working with the developer, developer’s team, and the City as we move forward.

Survey says—take the survey! The Member Survey is set for distribution on December 13th so be looking in your email for this great opportunity to share your preferences about products, shopping experiences, hours and more! The Board completed a trial run of the survey this month and it went off without a hitch. Board members reported a completion time ranging from 5-10 minutes. We can’t wait to read what you have to share!

The month of November also brought to a close our Board elections—thanks to all who took the time to learn about the candidates and to vote! We are proud as a Board to retain Kate Dunning and Paige Everly and to welcome our newest member, Lisa Nelson. The election results were finalized, recorded and approved at our November meeting.
