As a Registered Dietitian and the regional Local Food Coordinator working at UNI, Jodie is passionate about healthy, local food and a sustainable local food system. She has been a member since 2015 and volunteers for the Co-op because of the exciting benefits it will bring to the community. She is a mother of three boys and enjoys reading, walking her dog, yoga, and spending time with friends and family.

Mallory is a local farmer and freelance web designer and works for Healthy Harvest of North Iowa as their Marketing Specialist. She is certified through ISU’s Local Food Leader and Community Food Systems Programs. Mallory is excited about the co-op because she is passionate about local and sustainable food systems. Mallory enjoys reading, cooking (and eating!) and weightlifting. She lives in Charles City with her husband and two young children.

Allie grew up in a small town in Iowa, where purchasing and supporting local businesses are everything. She is employed as a business analyst for Lincoln Savings Bank. Being a mom of 2 young girls has really inspired her to give back and be more involved in the community. Outside of the busy chaos of raising small versions of herself, Allie enjoys running, reading, and puzzles. Allie resides in Cedar Falls, where she left her small town to attend the University of Northern Iowa and has never left.

Nick was raised in a small town in northeast Iowa, where he learned the value of community. After a three-year stint in the Navy, he moved with his family to Cedar Falls to attend UNI and has been here ever since. He is excited to work on the board to foster relationships and help drive the message to the community in the hopes to make this project a reality. When not working, Nick enjoys mountain bike riding, trying to keep up with his landscaping and garden, cooking, and traveling with his wife, Michelle.

Dave and his wife Linda started their own business, Signs & Design, in Iowa Falls and later moved the business to Cedar Falls. They sold and retired in 2022. We are active in the community’s arts and theater and Main Street projects. Linda and I have two daughters who live in St Paul, MN, and Portland, OR.
The Rooted Carrot Co-op Board comprises seven Members elected by the General Membership. Board terms are three years. Board elections take place in the fall of each year. (ByLaw updated 2025)
