Local Food and Film Festival going virtual

The Local Food & Film Festival held annually each March is going virtual. Local Food & Film Series will be held the first Monday each month. Anyone is welcome to join virtually to learn more about local food sources, farming, the environment, and more – all from your living room couch! Mark your calendars!

Upcoming films include: April: Just Eat It; May: A Place at the Table; June: Seed, the Untold Story

A current library card and a Hoopla account are REQUIRED to participate in the group viewing, which will be conducted using both Zoom and Hoopla. Participants may watch the film ahead of time, as well, if they prefer then join us for the discussion at 8 p.m. Each month a local food producer will join us for the discussion.

Please REGISTER in advance for instructions: http://bit.ly/LFFSeries. This link is the same for each month.

The documentaries will be paired with kid’s activity kits that you can pick up through one of our local partners. Registered attendees will receive more information each month.

This event is supported by local partners such as Green Iowa AmeriCorps, The Hearst Center for the Arts, Cedar Valley Regional Food & Farm Network (coalition of networks including UNI Local Food Program, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach surrounding counties, Northeast Iowa Food Bank), Healthy Cedar Valley Coalition.
