Last night at the Member-Owner Capital Campaign Launch Party the Rooted Carrot Co-op Market began formally raising $1.6 million to help us reach our overall project costs ($2.8M) to open up our community-owned grocery store.
We had over 100 people attend this meeting and we have already raised $241,600! It was an exciting night and we gave away six gift cards thanks to Community Main Street! Congratulations to Tom Nagle, Barb O’Rorke, Karin Leonard, Jean M Vaux, David Nation, and Anthony Lake! Did you miss the meeting? Member-owners-if you haven’t received your Campaign Information packet in the mail, please be sure to contact us to request your packet or to ask any questions. You will soon receive a call from a fellow Rooted Carrot member-owner, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and find out how YOU can invest in YOUR Co-op. We ask that you take their call. Raising $1.6 million by March 31 will take the work of many volunteers and the support of hundreds of member-owners, but together we can do this!
