September was a very busy month! The future home of the Rooted Carrot Co-op Market will be at 123 7th Street on the corner of Main and 7th Street. The old church between St. Patrick’s and Richardson Funeral Home will be torn down in January. Construction will start next spring and the Co-op is expected to open Spring 2022.
The dedication from our Board members and volunteers is amazing and I cannot thank everyone enough for their hard work to get us to Stage 3 in the development phase of starting a Co-op.
The Board election results are in! I would like to welcome returning Board Members, Kate Richmond and Christine Sexton as well as new Board Member, Angela Yancy. I look forward to working with you and the other 5 Board Members over the next year. Thank you Mark Westbrock for accepting the appointment to the Board in July and serving these past three months.
