Current Volunteer Opportunities:

We are currently looking to fill the following positions (please note that all committees and volunteers are working remotely at this time):

Writers

The Rooted Carrot Co-op is seeking two writers to join our Communications Team. If you have experience, we welcome you! But we are also willing to train volunteers if they have the passion to learn and would like to gain some professional writing experience. Volunteers will write press releases and articles for the website and the Garlic Press Newsletter. We can’t wait to hear your ideas and have you join the team! Estimated time commitment: 2-4 hours per week.

Social Media Content Creator

Do you love social media? Do you long to be an influencer? We need you to be a part of our team! We are looking for someone to use social media marketing tools to create and maintain the Co-op brand, create social media marketing campaigns, and make recommendations for marketing improvements. Work with a collaborative Communications volunteer team. Estimated time commitment: 2-4 hours per week.

Membership Data Coordinator

We are seeking an individual to oversee our membership data, including updating addresses and other information, processing payments for new memberships, and welcoming new members. This person would be a part of the Membership Committee and may work on other activities or events if they desire. The ideal candidate will be organized, good with details, and be able to work independently. We eventually would like this person to help with the creation of a membership orientation program. Get to know our newest members and introduce them to the wonderful community that is the co-op. This individual must also be tolerant of boisterous, hilarious people because the Membership Committee has a lot of fun! Estimated time commitment: 2-4 hours per week.

Grant Seeker

We are currently looking for someone with some grant-seeking/grant writing experience to join our Finance Team. As the Rooted Carrot Co-op enters this exciting new phase of development, having the expertise of someone who is willing to explore grant opportunities is key in securing the funding needed to open the doors. We can promise a great benefits package – like working with a group of dedicated volunteers, who also happen to have a lot of fun. Not to mention the pride you will feel when the Co-op becomes a real store!

Finance Committee Volunteers Needed

The Finance Committee is looking for active volunteers to join their team. Do you have experience with Quickbooks? Are you good with budgets or appreciate precision? We are looking for volunteers to work with the rest of this team to create and support systems that ensure the long-term sustainability and financial health of the Rooted Carrot Co-op. Our goal is to train multiple team members on specific parts of this work so that our work is truly cooperative and we can support and act as backup for each other. Also, we like working as a team – it’s more fun! Finance Committee members will volunteer approximately 5-10 hours per month.
