June Message from the Board

Happy summer! The Co-op Board is working on wrapping up this fiscal year and preparing our budget for the 2022-2023 fiscal year that starts July 1st. The Advisory Council met in May and the Board is reviewing their ideas for Co-op engagement with members and the community. We are also looking ahead to Board elections in the fall and starting to engage potential candidates. We will have at least three seats to fill in this upcoming election. Could that be you? Or do you know someone who would be willing to serve on the Board? This is an exciting time to be part of the Board and making important decisions about the Co-op’s future.

We need your help! We look forward to seeing you at the Kayak event this month and the ice cream social in July! We encourage you to attend our events and bring a potential new member or two! We are still working towards our goal of at least 1500 members!

In addition, more events will be announced soon. You can find details about upcoming events on our website (under News), Facebook, Instagram, and the monthly Garlic Press delivered to your inbox.

Here is another call to action! Are you on Facebook or Instagram? We want to get more people seeing our posts! When you see one of our posts please COMMENT! This helps more people see our posts and get information about the Rooted Carrot! Make it a goal to comment on at least one post/week or more. Ask your friends and family members to comment, too.

Board President
