February Update from the Board

As many of you hopefully read in the email sent to all members on January 25th, your board continues to be in close contact with all involved parties to resolve a specific zoning issue and get final building approval for the proposed store site on 7th and Main in Cedar Falls. The Communications Committee is always looking for ways for the board to share information with membership and we recognize that many of you have questions about the building project.  To keep you informed, please join us for a Q & A zoom session on February 7th (the meeting link is provided in the email referenced above).  We welcome all questions and look forward to a lively discussion!

The survey is a wrap!  Thanks to everyone who took the time to complete the survey!  Results will be compiled by the Operations Committee and shared in a spring issue of the Garlic Press.  Your responses help shape our store—no small feat!

Though site discussions are front and center during board meetings, routine business continues to occur.  The Finance Committee has done a wonderful job updating and maintaining financial records and reports, which are shared monthly with all board members.  Membership is fast approaching 1200 members and the Membership Committee is hard at work planning new ways to showcase all the co-op has to offer to potential new members.  If you know someone who has mentioned joining but hasn’t gotten there just yet, encourage them to join!  It is an exciting time to be a member of the Rooted Carrot—and we want to share this excitement with as many people as possible!
