Local Food Dinner is now Virtual!

The annual Local Food Dinner event has gone virtual this year!  The Cedar Valley Regional Food & Farm Network and the Rooted Carrot Co-op Market are hosting Celebrate Local Food on Wednesday, March 10th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Join us for an evening of live music from Kristin Teig Torres, trivia, and the opportunity to meet and learn from several local food producers including Fitkin Popcorn, Joia Food Farm, Sidecar Coffee Roasters, Solstice Farm, Whistling Thistle Farm, and Yellow Table Farm who produce everything from lamb, meat, poultry and eggs, vegetables and herbs, mushrooms, popcorn, and coffee! The event will be a great way to connect the community to area local food producers and is open to anyone interested in learning more about the wide variety of available locally sourced foods or the Rooted Carrot Co-Op Market.

According to Jodie Huegerich, RD, Local Food Program manager and Rooted Carrot Board President, “We are celebrating the people who are at the heart of our local food systems, and the hard work they do to give us great local, fresh products.  It is the perfect opportunity to meet a few local producers as we look forward to spring, the new growing season and some wonderful local foods.”

To register visit: tinyurl.com/celebratelocal.  RSVPs are required and limited to the first 100 participants.
