One of the most unique things about co-ops is the annual member-owner meeting. It’s so important, that it’s in the bylaws. It’s your chance to participate and hear the latest news. Your Cedar Falls Food Co-op is hosting the 2017 meeting with a twist—we’ll start with the monthly potluck and follow up with a “state of the Co-op” presentation. Don’t miss it!
At this annual event, we’ll come together as a community and practice our core principle of “Democratic Member Control” as we elect new board members. Only owners can take part in this event, but everyone is welcome to become an owner—you can even join at the door.
The evening will start with yummy food, and then we’ll begin with Board and committee reports on operations, finance and other key growth indicators. We’ll look ahead at upcoming milestones and projections on opening. We’ll also announce the results of the board elections. Plus, there will be plenty of time for Q & A from members.
