What’s better than one new business partner? FOUR new business partners! That’s right, four generous, community minded local businesses have offered Cedar Falls Food Co-op member-owners exclusive deals! Meet local businesses Gravy’s Diner, Maid-Rite, Pink Peony Studio, and The Sheep Baatique.

Gravy’s Diner, serving up breakfast and burgers since 2008, aims to satisfy with good all- American food in a retro atmosphere. Gravy’s doesn’t just stop there, however. By putting people before profits using the Golden Rule, Gravy’s demonstrates that businesses can have a greater impact within their community. They are offering co-op member-owners  10% off (some exclusions apply). In Gravy’s own words, “Never trust a restaurant without a waiting list.” Better call ahead…

Another retro-themed eatery offering good tasting, iconic food in downtown Cedar Falls is Maid-Rite. A unique history reveals that Maid-Rite has been in the business of offering their specially seasoned loose meat ground beef sandwiches since 1926! Maid-Rite reflects a community based mindset by practicing environmentally friendly measures such as recycling, using green cleaners, and installing LED lighting. The Cedar Falls location on 4th Street is offering 10% off of dine in. It’s a perfect place to take a break from shopping in downtown Cedar Falls!

Speaking of shopping, make sure to stop in the Pink Peony Studio! This unique store offers upcycled, refinished, and original handcrafted home decor items and antiques. You’re sure to find an eclectic new (or old) piece for your house or a one of a kind gift for a friend. Co-op member-owners will receive 10% off their purchase (some exclusions apply).  Where everything old is new again!

Do you knit, crochet, or want to pick up a new, rewarding hobby? If so, head to The Sheep Baatique, located in downtown Cedar Falls. They offer knitting supplies and domestic, free-trade, and exotic yarns from all over the world. Learn a useful new skill during one of their beginner classes or learn how to make your own scarf, sweater, and more in one of their many classes. The Sheep Baatique also sells their wares online and a 10% discount applies to both in store and online purchases, a plus for our out of town member-owners. Ewe know ewe want to!
