This month’s local business partners have stepped up to offer some hot, sweet & awesome deals to newly joining members of the Cedar Falls Food Co-op. If you’ve been on the fence about whether or not to join, the time is now.
We are excited to announce that the next ‘Members-Only’ event is coming up…like now! Kara, yoga instructor at Balance Hot Yoga has offered our current members a FREE one hour hot yoga class on Tuesday June 2nd from 7:30-8:30 pm. Yes, all in honor of you and your support of our co-op! Feel free to bring a guest who would like to join the co-op that evening, as they will be considered “new members” & be able to partake in the free class. Plus as an incentive to join our growing family, all new members to the co-op during the month of June will be offered a free class at Balance Hot Yoga. In addition, if member-owners sign up with Balance, they will be given another free class, as part of the BHY program. That is potentially 2 or 3 free yoga classes that balance is offering current & new members! Now that’s hot! Please dress in comfortable and light attire. Come move, stretch and find balance with us. Balance is a hot yoga studio located on the hill in Cedar Falls next to Sidecar Coffee (they use the same entryway door). This studio’s name is meant to represent not only the balance one experiences during each yoga session, but also the balance one can achieve in everyday life. By performing hot yoga you engage your body in focused, deep breathing using heat to sweat out and detoxify impurities from the body. The result may be the removal of anxiety, toxins, increased flexibility and the additional benefit of weight loss.

Since its beginning, Bike Tech has continued to evolve based on customer suggestions, the experiences of Bike Tech staff, and thoughts from peers in the bicycle retail community. In doing so, they strive to be the best bicycle shop the Cedar Valley has to offer. The beginning of this year, they moved to a new location to better serve their customers and increase efficiency. Located behind Cedar Falls City Hall and the Police Department, Bike Tech looks forward to the increase in space as well as product selection while continuing to provide the best products and service in the Cedar Valley.
