Scholarship Member Share Application

Read and follow these instructions fully before submitting your application.

Applications will be accepted starting October 5, 2026

1. Please fill out the information below accurately, completely, and carefully.
2. This is a $100 scholarship. A member share purchase is $200. Therefore, if you receive the scholarship, you must pay $100 toward your member share. We will award the scholarship when we receive payment, which will complete your member share payment.
3. While we do not require specific proof of financial need, filling out and submitting this scholarship application indicates that a full member share purchase is a significant financial hardship for you at this time.
4. The application deadline is Friday, October 30, 2026
5. If you are awarded one of the $100 scholarships toward your $200 member share purchase, we will notify you by the end of November 13, 2026.

Scholarship Information

This scholarship covers half the cost ($100) of a member share purchase ($200). If selected, you must pay the first $100 towards your share. The Rooted Carrot Co-op Market Scholarship Fund will then pay $100 toward your share, thereby making it a full share. You are not a full member-owner of the Rooted Carrot Co-op Market until you have purchased the full share. Full shareholders can vote in board elections and receive Community Partner discounts.

We award a limited number of scholarships each year.
