Applications will be accepted starting November 1, 2023
- Please fill out the information below accurately, completely, and carefully.
- This is a $100 scholarship. A member share purchase is $200. Therefore, if you receive the scholarship, you must pay the $100 toward your member share. The scholarship will be awarded when payment is received, and that will complete the member share payment.
- While we do not require specific proof of financial need, by filling out and submitting this scholarship application, you are indicating that a full member share purchase is a significant financial hardship for you at this time.
- The application deadline is Thursday, November 30, 2023.
- If you are awarded one of the $100 toward your $200 member share purchase, you will be notified by the end of December 2023.
Scholarship Information
This scholarship covers half of the cost ($100) of a member share purchase ($200). If selected, you will be required to pay the first $100 towards your share. The Rooted Carrot Co-op Market Scholarship Fund will then pay $100 toward your share, thereby making it a full share. You are not a full member-owner of the Rooted Carrot Co-op Market until you have purchased the full share. Full shareholders can vote in board elections and receive Community Partner discounts. Should you receive the scholarship and, in the future, request a refund, if the Co-op is able to honor the refund request, you will receive only the amount that you invested in your member share purchase ($100 or whatever amount you have paid at that time).
