So much is going on behind the scenes with your Rooted Carrot Co-op! With the countless details it takes to open a community-owned cooperative grocery store, we rely upon the work of dozens of volunteers, many of whom serve on the board and various committees.
In this Garlic Press issue, we highlight and thank the Membership and Communications Team.
Membership and Communications volunteers include co-chairs, Lisa Nelson and Jodie Huegerich along with Paige Everly, Chelsea Toppin, Melinda Doyle, Sean Williams, Jodie Mueller, Holly Althof, Melanie Drake, Cathryn Wedemeier, Adrian Nadler, Suzanne Riehl, Marci Kemp, Rachel Flynn, Sara Jansen, and Luann Alemao. “Each team member brings their own skill set and interest area,” co-chair, Lisa Nelson says. “They are all willing to step up when needed to share their gifts.”
This team covers a lot of areas including the newsletter you are currently reading, outreach to potential and new Co-op member-owners, creating and maintaining website content, planning Co-op events and gatherings, managing social media posts, staffing Co-op booths, processing memberships, and cultivating our community partner discount program. Through all of this planning and management, they have a lot of fun together whether in meetings or hosting events.
