Your site team continues to work diligently with the City of Cedar Falls Planning and Zoning department and the site developer to fully understand how the new code changes will affect the planned store site at 7th and Main streets in downtown Cedar Falls. We as a Board are hopeful that answers will be forthcoming and we can share with our membership the anticipated plan!
Your Capital Campaign Committee is rolling! Led by Board member Tom Wickersham, this dedicated team of volunteers is raising money left, right and center! We know everyone is busy this time of year, but when you get that email asking for support, open it and chip in! Each of us giving a little will go a long way to reaching our collective dream of our first store.
As a Board, we continually discuss how to keep volunteers and membership engaged, especially in wait-and-see times. But we promise, your Board has a long to-do list and we can use your help and expertise. Our Membership Committee has a great core group and we want to add to it! The Operations team is quiet now, but soon will be busy—and will need those of you with human resources and hiring experience to ensure we hire the best person for the important General Manager position. Don’t be shy—join us!!
