Celebrating our Co-op Booth Volunteers….

At many community events, you’ll find our telltale orange tent or at least our table staffed by friendly people often wearing Co-op t-shirts and eager to talk about this amazing community-grown business we are founding in the Cedar Valley. If you haven’t stopped to say hello, please do! We have lots of great information, free refrigerator magnets, and the last of our founding member tote bags we are giving to new member-owners who are the first 1000+ to invest in their community in this important way.

We are grateful to the dozens of individuals who have already given hundreds of hours of time to this important volunteer role. Want to join this growing group of volunteers at a future event? We still have opportunities this fall for you to staff a table, and we will provide the training you need – email outreach@cedarfallsfood.coop to learn more.

You are also welcome to stop by our table and get your questions answered at one of our upcoming booths:

  • Cedar Falls Farmers Market: Co-op booth on two Saturdays, September 14 and October 12, 8:30 a.m. – noon (this market occurs every Saturday through October)
  • Fall Harvest Festival at the Cedar Valley Arboretum: Co-op booth on Saturday, September 21 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (the festival runs Saturday AND Sunday)
  • College Hill Farmers Market: Co-op booth on Thursday, October 3, 4 – 6 p.m. (this market is every Thursday through October)
  • And if you are an employee of John Deere or UNI, we’ll have a booth at your upcoming health fairs.

Are you a part of an organization that hosts a health or wellness fair, harvest festival, or other event? Let us know if you would like the Cedar Falls Food Co-op represented. We’d be happy to talk with you more about it. In addition, we are happy to find a representative to come speak at your meeting or other event. You can help us continue to spread the word about the Co-op so we can bring it to the Cedar Valley sooner!
